Orange Walnut Baked Figs
Equipment
- Small Pot
- Small Baking Pan
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Walnuts (roasted)
- 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice
- 1 tsp Orange Rind
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 11 Fresh Figs
Instructions
- Gather the ingredients.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
- Break the walnuts into small pieces and bake for 5 minutes or until slightly browned. Set aside.

- In a small pot, on a low flame heat the orange juice, rind, honey & cinnamon for 5 minutes. Set aside.
- Wash the figs thoroughly.
- Cut off the stem.
- Cut an X on the top part of the fig (the stem part) to create space. The fig will open like a flower.
- Place the figs in a small baking dish and pour the pre-prepared syrup into the space on top of each fig.

- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Distribute the pre-prepared roasted walnuts into each fig.
- Baste the figs with the juices in the pan.

- Your baked figs are ready.
