Vegan Sesame Date Granola
This healthy Vegan Sesame Date Granola Recipe shows you how to combine oats, sesame and dates for a nutrient-packed granola treat. Bake the combo for only 15 minutes and you’ve created a delicious breakfast or nutritious treat!
Equipment
- Electric Mixer
- Large Baking Pan
- Large Baking Sheet
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Wholegrain Tahini Paste (unhulled)
- 3 tbsp Water (to yield ½ cup tahini spread)
- 1/2 cup Silan – Date Honey
- 3 cups Oats
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Sesame Seeds
- 3/4 cup Medjool Dates (organic without preservatives and no added sugar – measured after cut into small pieces- about 5-6 dates)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
- In an electric mixer, blend the tahini paste with the water until it turns creamy.
- Add ¼ cup silan and blend well.
- On a low speed, gradually add the oats and cinnamon and whisk until well blended.
- On a low speed, blend in the sesame seeds.
- Manually crumble the dough onto a baking pan lined with a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes. Let Cool.
- Cut the pitted dates into small pieces. You can use a scissor.
- Toss he date pieces into the baked granola and distribute well.
Notes
Yields 6 cups granola.
Best stored in an airtight jar.
