Equipment
- 1 Large Pot
- 1 Sieve
Ingredients
- 8 Chicken Drumsticks (remove the chicken skin and trim the fat. )
- 5 Carrots (medium size, peeled and cut into chunks)
- 5 Zucchini (medium size, peeled and cut into chunks)
- 4 Onions (medium size, peeled, leave whole)
- 4 Celery Stalks
- Fresh Parsley (a bunch)
- Fresh Dill (a bunch)
- 2 tsp Salt (adjust to taste or health requirements)
- 2 tsp Turmeric
- 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 12 cups Water ( 2 1/2 liters – 2 1/2 quarts)
Instructions
- Remove the chicken skin and trim the fat.
- In a large pot, boil the chicken with the water. Skim the particles that rise to the top.
- Add the spices and stir.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for an hour.
- Let cool and remove the chicken and vegetables. Set aside.
- Strain the broth through a sieve.
Notes
Serve hot with vegetables and chicken.
