  • Nonstick Frying Pan Or Wide Pot With Cover
  • Nonstick Baking Pan (medium size)
  • Large Bowl
  • Baking Sheet

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Chicken Drumsticks (remove skin & trim fat)
  • 1 1/2 cups  Precooked Chickpeas  (click the link at the bottom of the recipe for the instructions to make-your-own cooked chickpeas)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Sweet Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Garlic (spice)
  • 1 tsp Turmeric (spice)
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • Fresh Parsley (diced – for garnishing)

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil with the prepared drumsticks distributing evenly.
  • Place the drumsticks into a nonstick frying pan.

  • Sauté the drumsticks on all sides until golden brown.
  • Add the spices and distribute well.

  • Cover the pot and simmer for 45 minutes turning the drumsticks from time to time.
  • Add the pre-prepared cooked chickpeas, and gently mix with the chicken and spices.

  • Simmer for another 15 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
