Lentil Spread - Vegan "Chopped Liver"

Lentils
- 2/3 cup Black Lentils
- 4 cups Water (for soaking the lentils)
Onions
- 4 Onions (medium size)
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil
Lentil Spread
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Salt (adjust to taste or health requirements)
- 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 2 tsp Sweet Paprika
- 2 tsp Granulated Garlic (spice)
- 1/2 cup Walnuts
Prepare The Lentils
In an uncovered pot, soak the lentils for 4 hours.
Drain the lentils in a sieve and rinse with fresh water.
Return the lentils to the pot and cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil, lower the flame and simmer until tender (for about 20 minutes).
Drain well in a sieve. Set aside.
Prepare The Spread
Place the cooled lentil & onion mixture, walnuts and 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a food processor.
Blend until you create a creamy texture.
