  • 2 cups Chickpeas - Cooked (to make your own, click on the link at the bottom of the post)
  • 1 cup Tahini (raw sesame paste)
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 tsp Fresh Lemon Rind
  • 6 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 8 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt (adjust to taste or health requirements)
  • 1/2 cup Water

Garnish Option

  • Chickpeas - Cooked (to make your own, click on the link at the bottom of the post)
  • Olive Oil
  • Fresh Parsley (diced)
  • Sweet Paprika

  • Assemble the ingredients.

  • In a food processor, blend the pre-cooked chickpeas, tahini, fresh lemon juice, fresh lemon rind, olive oil, garlic cloves and salt.

  • Gradually add the water.

  • This process should yield a creamy texture. Gradually add a bit more water if the consistency isn’t creamy.

Garnish Option

  • Spread the hummus on a flat plate.
