Instructions
Hummus - Chickpea Spread
Assemble the ingredients.
In a food processor, blend the pre-cooked chickpeas, tahini, fresh lemon juice, fresh lemon rind, olive oil, garlic cloves and salt.
Gradually add the water.
This process should yield a creamy texture. Gradually add a bit more water if the consistency isn’t creamy.
Garnish Option
Spread the hummus on a flat plate.
Place several chickpeas on top of the hummus serving. Sprinkle olive oil, sweet paprika and diced fresh parsley.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator.
