Follow this simple Crunchy Almond Apple Granola Recipe to create a naturally sweet, healthy and crunchy treat. Mix wholesome oats, nutrient packed almonds and sweet apples for a special breakfast or snack.

  • Food Processor
  • 1 Large Baking Pan
  • 1 Large Baking Sheet

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Freshly Grated Apples (approximately 2 apples)
  • 3/4  cup Almonds (for blending)
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 3 cups Oats
  • 1/2 cup Almonds (broken into small pieces - can be done in food processor)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

  • Peel the apples and remove core and pits.
  • Grate the apples. This can be done in a food processor. Set aside.

  • Blend 3/4 cup of almonds in a food processor until they start to moisten.
  • Add the honey, vanilla and cinnamon and blend well to create an almond mixture.

  • In an electric mixer, on a low speed, whisk the almond mixture and oats until well blended.
  • On a low speed, blend in the grated apples.

  • Distribute the mixture onto a large baking pan lined with a baking sheet.

  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Gently mix the mixture in the baking pan and pat it down gently.
  • Bake for another 10 minutes.
  • Lower the oven heat to 302 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius).
  • Add the 1/2 cup of almond pieces and distribute well.
  • Bake for another 15 minutes.
  • Let cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight jar.
